Hello and welcome to this, the first post of my blog. I hope this blog will serve as a useful record of my journey to the other side of the globe and my experiences there. I will upload as many photos as I can, and include as many of my thoughts as I can conjour. That's the obligatory intro done...
My first day was exciting, and a little stressful. An early start, followed by a pleasant flight, peppered with the realisation that I didn't have the Woods Bagot address in Perth. Technology to the rescue! A quick message to Nick, and the address was safely in my phone.
After spending the morning and lunch time preparing my ''masterclass'', I then presented it to Woods Bagot Perth, and it seemed well received.
My second day ex-Adelaide made me regret not finding time and money to buy a camera before I left. The architecture here is great! From what I saw, Perth seemed to have gone through a mini rennaissance somewhere in the 50s. The modernist buildings here were impressive. Following my walk around the city, a friendly colleague from Woods Bagot Perth picked me up and drove me to such sights as Kings Park and Fremantle. The highlight of the day would have to be the wood oven pizza and beer in the sun at Little Creatures Brewery.
Now I begin preparations for my flight to Dubai, having been advised by the airline I need to be at the airport 3 HOURS before the flight, even though I've checked in online already...
Well, now that I've got that first, difficult post out of the way, I'm sure they'll get more interesting as they go on...
